Xansa’s Pune site covering 17 acres lies in the Talewade IT Park of Pune. The site slopes 30m down to a river basin, middle slopes allow a long view till the river. The overall concept is to retain and enhance the natural forms. A semiformal and urban entrance court is designed with symbolic reception building linking the site to the city and creating a transition with what is outside.
The lowest most area of the site, is like a bowl. This bowl is deepened and developed as a lake to collect all the rain water. The lake is viewed from an extended pavilion at the lowest terrace. The build form is like a horse shoe, enclosing the inner view. The building blocks sit on plinths using the natural contours. The natural rock outcrops, form integral part of the visual design.
A stepped court, carrying a central water feature is designed between the two office blocks as a breakout area, connecting café terrace at the lower level.
The result is a campus, sitting in a natural setting, merging with the surrounding landscape.
